[Startup] Concurrent employment of a major corporation executive as an executive of our company
I had a business relationship with a company called K last year (cumulative transaction amount of about 8 million won), and the executive of K company said that he liked the way I work, and he became more interested after seeing our company's IR, and gave various advice and help. Although the deal did not materialize, he also introduced other clients. There is a meeting with the client he introduced next week.
I understand that this person is a non-registered executive of K company and a special relationship with the president of K company.
Is it possible to hire this executive as an unpaid non-registered executive or an unpaid employee of our company?
Or, I'm curious if he can be hired as an unpaid auditor or advisor.
He seems to be a bit older, and he seems to be thinking about the next step or independence.
We are a small company, so it is difficult to pay a large salary...
Anyway, he wants to work together, and I also want to learn a lot from him, so I want to have him.
K Company is a listed company, and it is also stated in the public announcement that he owns 0.47% of K Company's shares.
1. In what way should we hire him so that concurrent employment is possible and there is no problem under the Commercial Act?
2. Does it constitute competition even if it is a completely different industry?
3. He says that it is okay to be unpaid for the first few months, should we pay the minimum wage?
