Regarding unlisted stocks (stock options)
I plan to join a startup and receive stock options.
I was told that when I receive stock options for 10 shares, it's worth about 5 million won.
Meaning 500,000 won per share..
I don't know much about stocks, so I have some questions.
- Samsung Electronics is under 100,000 won and Hyundai Motors is under 200,000 won, are startup shares usually high-priced?
- How can I confirm whether 10 shares are worth about 5 million won, or 500,000 won?
- Is it possible that the price could drop by -99% after listing, to 5,000 won per share?
