I have a question about severance pay when writing an employment contract.


Hello, I'm a recent graduate.

I joined a startup on October 7, 2024.

The contract employment period is from 10/7 to 12/31,

I worked for 3 months as a probationary contract worker/without joining the 4 major insurances.

And this month, they asked to renew the contract,

They gave me an employment contract for January 6, 25 to December 31, 25,

and they said they would give me a full-time position/join the 4 major insurances. (It was stated that it would be automatically renewed if there were no other issues after the contract employment period)

But if I leave the company on December 31, 2025, am I not eligible to receive severance pay?

I'm satisfied with the company's work and style, so I don't want to quit, but I'm worried because, as a characteristic of a startup, a notice of dismissal could happen at any time.
