I received an offer from a startup, can I receive equity?
I received an offer to work as a COO at a Korean startup founded in 2019 with less than 5 employees. The salary is not too low, but it's about 40% less than what I was receiving until recently. I'm willing to consider it a bit because it's a field I want to learn together, but I'm trying to find out if I can adjust the offer in other areas:
1) Is it possible to receive equity at this stage in an unlisted company? (If so, how much is appropriate?)
2) If it's possible, what documents should I receive?
3) I'm curious if I can adjust in other areas besides equity.
Since I have accumulated my career overseas, I want to know how Korean startups and companies adjust their offers :) Thank you
